I've been coaching cyclists since 1997. I've helped athletes win world championships, Paralympic medals, and transcontinental races. I created the MAP test protocol that Zwift, Rouvy, and other major platforms use for FTP estimation.
But here's what drives me: I was told I'd never walk again at age 11.
Juvenile arthritis put me in a wheelchair for two years. When I got back on a bike at 14, I was so ill I came dead last in every race for six years. But I kept showing up.
By 22, I'd made it to 1st category. Today, at 56, I'm still racing—42 consecutive seasons without missing a year. I've maintained the same VO2max I had 30 years ago. My FTP is 10W higher now. My 5-second peak power? 150W higher than three decades ago.
I know what it takes to get faster, stay consistent, and keep racing—because I've lived it.
The CycleCoach Collective is everything I wish I'd had when I was coming up through the ranks: structured training, expert guidance, and a supportive community—all for less than the cost of a new set of tyres each month.
If you're serious about getting faster, this is for you.
